Glenn Powers

Glenn Gilstrap Powers was born in Durant, Okla. on May 23, 1944, to and preceded in death by Elbert G. Powers and Waunita (Gilstrap) Powers. He passed on June 25, 2021.

Glenn attended Durant High School and served in the Oklahoma National Guard until accepting a position with RCA in Indianapolis where he fell in love for the first time – she was a 1965 GTO hardtop. This began a long love affair with cars over the years. This affinity for things that go fast eventually led to a realization of his true passion: flying. He owned his own plane and flew all over the U.S., logging more than 500 hours flight time.

Glenn is survived by two sons, John his wife Theresa and Josh; two grandchildren, Daniel and Emily; three sisters, Stephanie, Michelle, and Glenda; two brothers, Gary and Tim; and six nieces and nephews: Daphne, Victor, Sarrah, Hannah, Micah and Jonah.

A remembrance is scheduled for July 13, 2021, at the Journey to Healing Lodge, 7162 Leavenworth Trail in Mead, Okla.

The lodge will be open at 2 p.m. and the informal service will begin at 3 p.m.

I have had my brand new Apple iphone Four for less than a couple of days now and i should point out that for any individual thinking of getting an phone, just purchase the 3gs. Not only will you save a lot of money but you will probably save yourself a great deal of headaches.
