Durant man injured in single-vehicle accident on Tuesday night

One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident on Highway 69/75 and Choctaw Road on Tuesday night.

A 65-year-old man from Durant (whose name is being withheld pending notification) was driving a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado at about 11:19 p.m. on Tuesday, according to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

He was traveling in the southbound lane and ran off the roadway and struck a large concrete barricade. He was transported by Bryan County EMS to Texoma Medical Center and admitted in stable condition with head and trunk injuries.

The OHP was assisted in the investigation by the Calera Police Department, Durant Police Department, and Bryan County EMS.
