DURANT – WebstaurantStore, along with the Durant Industrial Authority, on Friday announced the industry’s expansion of its Durant distribution center though the addition of 20 new jobs along with significant pay scale increases.

The industry will be hiring order packers and shipping and receiving material handlers with starting wages of $14 – $16.50 per hour and the earning potential of over $20 per hour after five years, in all positions.

WebstaurantStore, an online restaurant and kitchen supply retailer, has been located in Durant since 2017, when it announced its selection of the community as the home of its southern distribution servicing Texas, Oklahoma, and surrounding states.

The 20 new associates will bring Webstaurant to an approximate total of 170 employees at the Durant location.

“We are excited to have the opportunity to expand our Durant operations through the addition of 20 new employees, while also increasing our wages,” said Webstaurant Operations Manager Joel King. “The success we have enjoyed at the Durant distribution center is a direct result of the hard work and dedication of our employees, as well as the focus our company places on workplace culture and making sure that we are retaining those employees that meet our culture expectations. We are committed to the Texoma region and creating great opportunities for employment and growth within our distribution center.”

“The Durant Industrial Authority congratulates Webstaurant on their investment in Durant resulting in 20 new jobs, bringing total employment to about 170, as well as their commitment to a higher wage scale for workers at the Durant facility.” said Paul Buntz, Interim Director of the Durant Industrial Authority.
