Thursday Thoughts

In college today, they teach that team work is what the workplace is looking for most, yet the farther we get from the classroom the more polarized we become. Division and separation has taken a hold of our country because we have forgotten our common threads.

We all bleed red, we all have families, we all crave shelter and warmth. Hate has found an opening into the heart of our country and we have chosen to ignore it. With that said, I encourage each of you to open your hearts to those unlike you. Be careful about closing up your circle, you never know who you might need later down the road.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. gave us beautiful advice on how to treat people in this situation:
“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into a friend. Faith is taking the first step even when you don‘t see the whole staircase.”
