DURANT – Durant’s newest fitness franchise found a way quickly to give to the community and the project was a success.

On June 7, Workout Anytime delivered 830 pounds of food to Hands of Hope food bank.

Linsday Perez, fitness consultant at Workout Anytime, spoke about the project and how it also benefitted new members.

“During May, we were having a food drive to help Hands of Hope,” Perez said. “If people came and brought canned food items, we would reduce their enrollment fee from $49 to $1, so it would be a little better for them and so that we could all give back to the community.”

“We love to give to the community and we actually have another fundraiser coming up closer to August. We’ll be trying to get backpacks and other school supplies for children that need them, so they will be prepared to go back to school.”

Perez said the non-perishable food included canned food, pudding, peanut butter and more.

She also said during the summer Workout Anytime is offering some big deals, as well.

“From June 24-July 9 we will also be having Zero enrollment to celebrate Workout Anytime’s 20th anniversary,” Perez said. “And during the month of July, if you pay for a full year, you get a year off.”
