Vada Mae (Bobbie) Lorance Taylor a resident of Durant, Okla. passed away Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022, at the age of 85. She was born to James Lorance and Jewel (Mauldin) Lorance in Caddo, Okla. on November 17, 1936.

Vada was of the Baptist faith. She spent her life caring for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Vada had many hobbies, including jewelry making, puzzles, crocheting, gardening, quilting and sewing. She also loved to collect certain treasured items, and was very proud of her extensive collection of bears. Her favorite color was red, and she absolutely loved Christmas. She loved her family above all else, and some of the happiest moments throughout her life were the holidays when everyone would gather at her house to celebrate. She is already greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Vada is survived by her children: Burva Blakley and husband, Jim of Durant, Terry Taylor, Quanda Lowrance and husband Bennett of Ardmore, Rhonda Pearce, and David Taylor; grandchildren: Jimmy, Angela, April, Carla, Jonathan, James, Jessica, Keith, Melissa, Jenny, and Austin; great-grandchildren: Cordelia, Elizabeth, Maverick, Daxton, Shayna, Kaliah, Izzabela, Abby, Dillon, Issia, Joshua, Stephanie, and Amber; and sisters: Mary, Barbara and Loretta.

Vada was preceded in death by her parents, James and Jewel Lorance; sisters: Jody, Peggy, and Ruthie; brothers, Buddy and Raymond and son-in-law, Leonard Pearce.

Per her wishes, Vada chose cremation with no memorial services.
