The Patriot continues with the weekly feature, #ShopCalera, highlighting businesses around the Calera area. With construction starting soon that will disrupt the normal flow of traffic through the area and have other challenging effects on the town, it is important to keep our local businesses and organizations at the forefront of our minds and support our towns and county during this time and beyond.
Today’s featured business: Three Rivers Pecans and Amish Store. Owner Rebecca Sandmann said the reason she opened the business in Calera was the location.
“We loved the location,” Sandmann said. “This place was for sale we decided we wanted to move here. We had a store in Atoka and we knew we wanted to be closer to the casion area where there is a lot of traffic. And we loved this town.”
Three Rivers has nine employees and offers a wide variety of items, with many made in-house.
“Of course, we have our famous fudge and we think we are definitely the best in Oklahoma, if not every surrounding state,” Sandmann said. “We offer 100 varieties. We do baking here hot fresh cinnamon rolls from scratch. We bake breads here. We have Amish jellies, jams and 75 varieties of cheeses. We have a lot of flavors of taffy – people love taffy.
“We try to have those things that when you are a traveler and you are wanting something special for a gift or just a treat for the day, we try to be that store.”
Three Rivers Pecans and Amish Store is located at 901 N. Service Road. The phone number is 580-434-3111.
“We want everyone to come and see what we have and what we can offer you.”
