Kelli Ann Corbin Ryan

Kelly Ann Corbin Ryan, 65, of Milburn, Tishomingo and most recently Norman, Okla. passed away surrounded by loved ones on November 30, 2021 after a brave battle with brain cancer.

Kelly was born on February 8, 1956 to Pat and Glenn “Sky” Corbin in Anchorage, Alaska, where Sky was stationed.  Kelly spent a significant portion of her childhood in Lubbock, Texas. In the early 1970s, the Corbin family moved to Milburn, Okla. where Kelly graduated from high school. After graduating from Milburn High in 1974, she went on to graduate from college with an education degree.

After graduation, Kelly worked for Milburn Public Schools, but spent most of her career as a secondary educator at Tishomingo Public Schools. As a teacher, it was her hope that she helped her students achieve success academically and personally.

In 1973, Kelly met Billy Ryan at the local burger shop where she was working. They dated for two years before being married in August 1975. After completing their degrees, the couple established their home on family property just outside of Tishomingo and began raising a family. BJ, Josh, and Kasey consider themselves blessed to have Kelly as their mother.

Kelly was a dedicated teacher but was a fantastic and wonderful mother. Kelly was an avid supporter of sports, band, academics, and youth groups that her children were involved in. Kelly supported her family through the many paths and difficulties of their lives.  No matter if she fully agreed with someone’s decision, it was her mission to improve the lives of others. She had a true servant’s heart and lived a life of service.

Kelly may have been a great teacher and fantastic mother but ultimately it was her true calling to be grandmother. “Grami”, as she was affectionately known, was most proud of her grand boys and made it her mission in life to win them over. She loved them without limits and happily gave the last years of her life in service to them.

Kelly was passionate about gardening and chicken ranching when she wasn’t filling her home with warmth, joy, and kindness. Kelly was a passionate believer in God and raised her children in faith. She was an accomplished piano player and singer sharing her gifts on praise teams at various churches/choirs. She is at rest with the Lord and joyous in the company of dear ones that we have lost.

Kelly was predeceased by her father, Glenn “Sky” Corbin and two daughters, Carrie and Terrie Ryan.

She is survived by her mother, Pat Corbin; three brothers, Gene Corbin and sister in-law Mary, Scott Corbin and sister in-law Kristin, and Jason Corbin and sister in-law Leanne along with their families. She is also survived in the home by husband, Billy and her three children: BJ Ryan and daughter in-law Shawn with son Calan, Josh Ryan and daughter-in-law Amanda with sons Everett and Griffin, Kasey Ryan DeGiusti and son in-law Mike with son Leonardo. She adored her four cherished grand boys, numerous in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. on February 6, 2022, at Murray State College Fletcher auditorium in Tishomingo, Okla.

Arrangements under the direction of Moore Funeral and Cremation.
