Kathryn Clark

Kathryn Clark, a resident of Sherman, Texas, and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sibling, entered her rest on Oct. 3, 2021, at the age of 84. She was born on July 8, 1937, to D. C. Flowers and Lois (Avary) Flowers.

Kathryn married her sweetheart Charles Clark in Brownfield, Texas, on July 27, 1956.

Kathryn was a small-town girl, she excelled in her studies, and was a loyal friend to many. She was always involved in school activities, played basketball and was a cheerleader. When she graduated from high school, she went on to attend Texas Tech where she met her husband Charles, and they were married for 65 wonderful years. Kathryn cherished her family, she was an excellent mother, and GiGi/Granny and great-grandmother. She lived her life as dedicated Christian, raising her three daughters to serve God. Kathryn had a personality that drew people to her, she had a great sense of humor and loved meeting people.

Mrs. Clark is survived by her husband, Charles Clark; children, Charla Sterling of Mead, Okla., Sandra Smith of Durant, Okla., and Kelly Ashmore and husband Kerye of Sherman, Texas; grandchildren, Breanne Luelf and husband Chad of Sherman, Texas, Andrea Lockler of Sherman, Texas, Shayne Smith of Mt. View, Calif., Clark Byrum of Sherman, Texas, and Kyle Byrum of Addison, Texas; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Cody, Lola, Avary, and Delanya all of Sherman, Texas; sister, Mildred Cabe of Brownfield, Texas, and brother, Noel Dean Flowers of Brownfield, Texas, and sister-in-law, Joy Culbreath.

Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by her parents, D. C. and Lois Flowers.

Family hour will be from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 8 at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Okla.

A funeral in honor of her life will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 9 at the Durant Church of Christ with Layne Heitz officiating. Her final earthly resting place will be the Highland Cemetery in Durant, Okla., with Shayne Smith, Clark Byrum, Kyle Byrum, Chad Luelf, Justin Cabe and David Herron, as her pallbearers. The honorary pallbearers are Charles Villines and JD Culbreath.

Services are under the direction of Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Okla.
