Janie (Ditmore) Payne, 68, of Durant, Okla., passed away on Friday, Dec. 10, 2021. She was born on April 27, 1953 in Clinton, Okla., to Raymond Gordon Ditmore and Agnus Marie (Ballard) Ditmore.
Janie graduated from Vernon High School and attended Vernon Regional Junior College where she received her LVN. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, loved gardening, and photography.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Roy Ditmore; one sister, Carol Milner and infant daughter, Amanda Ezzell.
Janie is survived by her husband of 32 years, Russel Payne, of the home; son, Dustin Ezzell of Durant, Okla.; daughter, Kimberlie Payne and husband, Scott of Durant, Okla.; step-daughter, Jennifer Watson of Ardmore, Okla.; and step-son, Jeffrey Payne of Ardmore, Okla.; two brothers, Gene Ditmore and wife, Trisha of Abilene, Texas, and Kim Ditmore wife, Judy of Vernon, Texas, and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2021 at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel.
Family hour will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2021 at Brown’s Funeral Service.
