Gubernatorial candidate Cyndi Munson visits Durant as part of campaign tour

DURANT – With less than four weeks remaining until the Election Day in 2026, candidates are making their final statements to constituents throughout the state of Oklahoma.

Cyndi Munson, the Democratic nominee for Oklahoma Governor, brought her “Munson Minivan Tour” into Bryan County. The Democratic leader of the Oklahoma House of Representatives has been able to visit all 77 counties to present her message.

Munson visited Durant on Thursday evening, stopping at the Donald W. Reynolds Community Center and Library. Also in attendance at the event was Patrick Southerland, who is running for a seat in the Oklahoma Senate in District 6.

Munson spoke to the crowd about high points from her platform and then took questions from the group. She emphasized public education as a key point of her campaign and encouraged people to “get out and vote.”
