BRYAN COUNTY – A fundraiser has been put together for a local man to help with the costs to treat cancer.
On Friday, Sept. 8, there will be a baked potato dinner at the Durant Elks Lodge to benefit Earnie Scott. Scott was diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma, also known as throat cancer. He will be undergoing a chemotherapy treatment.
Those who want to participate will have the opportunity to purchase baked potatoes throughout the day on Friday. The fundraiser is scheduled for noon – 7 p.m.
$10 will purchase a potato “with all the fixins” and a dessert.
