First positive COVID-19 cases reported in Caddo; recoveries in Bryan County are at 12

BRYAN COUNTY – With the start of the new week comes new numbers tracking the COVID-19 virus in the state of Oklahoma. Those numbers are listed on the Oklahoma State Department of Health website and can be viewed at this address: coronavirus.health.ok.gov.

There is a discrepancy between the Bryan County numbers on the ‘View Data by County’ page and the ‘View Data by City’ page. The Patriot will list both.

The first positive cases reported in Caddo were listed in today’s numbers, while there was an uptick in the Bennington column.

From the County Data page, the site lists that Bryan County has 17 positive cases, with 12 recoveries* and one death. (It appears Achille numbers are being left off the Bryan County totals.)

From the City Data page, the site lists that the cities in Bryan County have a total of 18 positive cases, with 12 recoveries and one death. The breakdown is as follows:

DURANT | 7 positive cases (5 recoveries)
MEAD | 3 positive cases (2 recoveries, 1 death)
BENNINGTON | 3 positive cases (2 recoveries)
CADDO | 2 positive cases
COLBERT | 2 positive cases (2 recoveries)
ACHILLE | 1 positive case (1 recovery)

* Recoveries are defined as those currently not hospitalized or deceased and 14 days after onset/report.
