Tuesday is Election Day again in Bryan County with offices and more at stake throughout the county.

Shall Ordinance No. 2020-05 of the Town of Calera, Okla., imposing a tourism tax of 5% upon the gross proceeds or gross receipts derived from all sales of hotel rooms taxable under the tax laws of the State of Oklahoma, earmarking twenty percent (20%) of the proceeds to be used to provide funds to the Calera Police Department; earmarking twenty percent (20%) of the proceeds to be used to provide funds to the Calera Fire Department; earmarking forty percent (40%) of the proceeds to be used to provide funds to the Calera General Government Fund; earmarking twenty percent (20%) of the proceeds to the used to provide funds to the Calera Tourism and Development Fund; providing sever ability of provisions; repealing all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict therewith; and declaring an emergency, be approved?
