Durant Police Department to lead joint escort for fallen teens back to Durant

BRYAN COUNTY – The Durant Police Department will be escorting Hunter Ford and Jack Sarver’s bodies back to Durant.

Brown’s Funeral Home will leave Durant for Collin County to pick them up at 7 a.m. on Saturday, May 30. Return to Durant/Brown’s is dependent upon turn-around time and traffic, but expecting to be back to Oklahoma by around 10 a.m.

This is a joint operation with the Bryan County Sheriff’s Office, Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Texas DPS and two Calera PD motor units who have volunteered their services.   A DPD unit and CPD motor unit(s) will travel to Collin County with Browns to pick Hunter and Jack up.   They will escort them to the Red River at which point other organized units will join in the escort at the visitor center.

The travel route is to be U.S. Highway 69/75 northbound to S. Ninth Ave., exit onto S. Ninth, then west on W. Main Street to Brown’s.

Anyone wishing to show support for Hunter Ford, Jack Sarver, Fernando Flores, and Kaleb Foster are encouraged to do so anywhere along the travel route and/or at Brown’s prior to, or at arrival.
