Dorothy Ayers

Dorothy Louise Ayers was born on Feb. 15, 1960, in Bluff, Okla. to Robert and Archie (Williams) Jeffers.

Dorothy attended Grant High School and married her husband, Emily Ayers on July 19, 1975, in Hugo, Okla. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Bluff and loved the Lord. Dorothy was employed for many years as a CNA at Heritage House in Paris, Texas and later in the deli at Hugo Wal-Mart. She enjoyed playing games, going to the casino, watching cooking shows and working in her flower garden. Dorothy loved music especially soul music. She will be missed tremendously by many who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her father and granddaughter, Amina Ayers-Santillan.

Dorothy is survived by her husband of 46 years,  Emily; son, Matthew Ayers of Hugo, Okla.; step-son, Steven Ayers of Hugo, Okla.; godson, Jeffrey Davis of Hugo, Okla.; brothers, Billy Holman of El Reno, Okla., Curtis Holman of Hugo, Okla., Jimmy Williams of Dallas, Texas, and Travis Holman of Arlington, Texas; sisters, Temetrice Williams of Durant, Okla., Marilyn Lewis of Durant, Okla., Jerri Williams of Hugo, Okla., Rosa Babb of Duncan, Okla., Ann Brown of Hugo, Okla. and Pamela Williams of Durant, Okla. along with numerous nieces and a host of other family, friends and loved ones.

Pallbearers ~ Matthew Ayers, Steven Ayers, Jeffrey Davis, Tevin Holman, Steve Holman and Jermaine Lewis.

Arrangements under the direction of Miller and Miller Funeral Home.
