The DHS Sparklers recently attended Danceline USA Dance/Drill Team Camp in Denton, Texas, and came away with individual and team recognition.
At the camp, the team learned several routines, and then performed and were evaluated each day.
They earned a Superior rating on their Kick performance on Day One. The group received an Excellent rating on Day Two for their Pom routine and an Excellent for their skit.
At the final performance and evaluation on Day Three, the Sparklers earned a Superior for their Pom routine, as well as the Danceline Staff Award and the Sweepstakes Award.
On the weekend, 14 Sparklers, were selected to the Danceline USA Elite Team and several won individual honors:
• Outstanding Performer Recognition – Maegan Bedwell
• STAR Performer Award – Mercedes Moreno-Grimes, Riley Samrow, Jacey Lowery
• KIRRF Award – Kyia Dalton, Ariana Garcia
• ELITE Team Members – Hannah Balkenbush, Maegan Bedwell, Kyia Dalton, Katie Fox, Emma Hansen, Allison Jorgenson, Jacey Lowery, Mercedes Moreno-Grimes, Ashlyn Preston, Ella Samrow, Riley Samrow, Lauren Sherrer, Scarlet Sturch, Jaelyn Wilson
