Five county schools learn area assignments for basketball

The OSSAA has released area assignments for selected classes for the 2020 high school basketball playoffs.

Achille (Class B), Bennington (Class A), Boswell (Class B) and Victory Life (Class B) have learned where each will be headed for its first-round game. Durant (Class 5A) now knows on which side of the state its games will be played.

The Lions will be in the East, placed there with 15 other schools, with pairings to be determined.

Achille, Boswell and VLA are all placed in the Area IV bracket for Class B. Bennington is in Area IV bracket in Class A.  Here is a look at both of those area assignments. Host teams are underlined, but pairings have not yet been announced.

CLASS B – AREA IV

District 1 – Boswell, Caney, Thackerville
District 2 – Coleman, Milburn, Whitesboro
District 3 – Sasakwa, Stringtown, Victory Life
District 4 – Achille, Battiest, Eagletown
