City of Durant offers residents help paying utility bills

DURANT – If you have been impacted by the Coronavirus pandemic, the City of Durant may be able to help with your residential city utility bills.

Qualified residents can apply to receive up to six months of assistance from the City if they are delinquent on their residential City utility bill payments due to the effects of COVID-19.

Those seeking assistance must meet HUD Low and Moderate Income Guidelines to be eligible and not currently receiving any other assistance for their residential City utility bill. Click HERE to see graphic.

The COVID-19 Relief Residential City Utility Assistance was financed in whole or in part by funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and a Community Development Block Grant as administered by the Oklahoma Department of Commerce.

Residents must apply in person at the Donald W. Reynolds Community Center and Library during the hours specified above.
