BRYAN COUNTY – One man was injured and flown from the site of an accident early Thursday morning in south Bryan County.
Stevie Carr, 22, of Cartwright, was driving a 2007 Honda Fit northbound on Denison Dam when it stalled a little after 1 a.m., according to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Carr and passenger Andrea Nunley, 21, of Colbert, abandoned the vehicle in the roadway and started walking.
Charles McAllister, 48, of Pottsboro, Texas, was driving a 2019 Honda sedan northbound. His vehicle hit the Honda Fit, which had no lights on, and pushed it into Carr, who was walking.
Carr was transported by AirEvac to Medical City Plano for road rash. Nunley was not injured.
There was an odor of an alcoholic beverage on Carr, according to the report. The cause of the collision was determined to be an abandoned vehicle in the roadway.
The OHP was assisted in the investigation by the Bryan County Sheriff’s Department, Grayson County Sheriff’s Department and Cartwright Fire Department.
