BRYAN COUNTY – It is now official as David Bullard filed in Oklahoma City on Wednesday to run for a seat in the Oklahoma State Senate. Bullard is a Durant resident and member of the Republican Party.

News presented by First United Bank.

An official release from his campaign came out on Friday.

“I am proud to announce that after much thought and prayer I am making it official and filing to run for Oklahoma State Senate, District 6,” Bullard said.  “I am a Christian, a husband, a father, a teacher and a resident of this great district. I realize that there is much work to be done but I have no doubt that with your support we can achieve many great things. Together we will bring a core set of values and a level of common sense to our state Capital that has been missing for far too long. I am a strong conservative who believes in the people of our nation and our state. Together we can build a future that is limitless for our children and grandchildren.

“The State of Oklahoma belongs to the people and those given the privilege to serve are duty bound to remember that, as well as who they work for and what their oath of office requires of them.

“I am proud to live in District 6 and consider myself blessed to call some of the best people in America my friends and neighbors. I want each and every person in District 6 to know that if you put your trust in me, I will strive to make you proud of the work I do and will never forget who I work for and the people I represent.”
