BRYAN COUNTY – A Kingston man was arrested after fleeing the scene of an accident on Saturday afternoon which left two dead and four injured.
The accident took place at about 5 p.m. on U.S. Highway 70 west of Durant.
A 2000 Volvo driven by Ralph McEnnerney, 52 of Kingston, and a 2017 Chevrolet driven by Glen Allan Kinyon, 52 of Mead, were eastbound on Highway 70 and had a collision, according to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. The collision caused the Chevrolet to travel into the westbound lane where it impacted a 1980 Ford, driven by Steven Kelly Williams, 48 of Caddo.
McEnnerney was not injured and left the scene of the accident.
Kinyon was transported by Bryan County EMS to Texoma Medical Center in Sherman with head, trunk-internal, trunk-external, arm and leg injuries and listed in stable condition.
Randy Kinyon, brother of driver, 47 of Henderson, Texas, was pronounced dead at the scene due to head, trunk-internal, trunk-external, arm and leg injuries.
Violet Kinyon, wife of driver, 38 of Mead, was transported by Bryan County EMS to TMC with head, trunk-internal, trunk-external, arm and leg injuries and listed in stable condition. Jesse David Kinyon, son of driver, 19 of Mead, was transported by Bryan County EMS to Alliance Medical Center in Durant, OK with head and hand injuries and treated and released.
Williams was transported by Bryan County EMS to Alliance Medical Center with head and arm injuries and treated and released.
Shelley Lynn Mayo, 46 of Caddo, a passenger in the Ford, was transported by Bryan County EMS to Alliance Medical Center with head, trunk-internal, trunk-external, arm and leg injuries. She was pronounced dead upon arrival.
According to the OHP report, the accident was caused by McEnnerney, whose ability had been impaired due to drinking and that the cause of the collision was deliberate intent.
Following the incident, OHP Trooper Scott Hampton posted on Facebook a description of further developments and looking for more witnesses.
“The driver that caused the collision fled the scene and was followed by witnesses,” Hampton posted. Durant Police made contact with the intoxicated driver and he was taken into custody by Troopers. The driver was booked into the Bryan County Jail for two counts of murder and leaving the scene of a fatality collision.

The OHP was assisted in the investigation by the Bryan County Sheriff’s Office, the Durant Police Department, Bryan County EMS and Durant Fire Department.

Can we just have a speedy trial with a death penalty, and if found guilty just put a bullet in his head and leave him for the coyotes? Scum like this who choose to drive drunk and then intentionally kill people don’t need to be kept in a cage for life, just euthanized. If anyone disagrees with me, that is fine, this is just my opinion, but at his age, it isn’t a “bad decision” it is a hard coded behavior that won’t be changed.
