Release

DURANT – J127 Ministry is pleased to announce the construction of a transitional home for young women aging out of the foster care system.  The young women’s home is being built on the campus of J127 Ministry, located at 717 N. 49th, just south of the intersection of 49th Ave. and University Blvd. in Durant.

Framing began on March 29, 2019, the majority of which is being done by World Mission Builders, an organization specializing in construction projects benefitting churches, missionaries, and non-profits in the US and overseas. Under the direction of Joe Wilson, World Mission Builders is comprised of volunteers from several states, and incorporates the help of local individuals.  World Mission Builders’ motto is “building permanence in missions,” which meshes with the mission and vision of J127 Ministry,
whose plan is to bring about lasting change in the lives of the residents enrolled in the transitional program.

J127 Builders Week, will conclude on Sunday April 7, with “Sharpie Sunday,” an event open to the public, celebrating the completion of the drying-in phase of construction.  It will be a time of prayer, celebration and fellowship from 12:30-3pm.
