Responsible for assisting in the administration of the daily operation of the program. Maintains a working knowledge of all rules and regulations pertaining to the program and insures that all are followed.
Assists in the development of the Transportation Plan and its implementation. Assists the Transportation Director in securing funds for the operation of the program through grants, contracts and fund raisers. Assists the Transportation Director in procurement of all supplies, fuel, purchase of vehicles and repairs. Assists with DBE contracting and other needs of the Transportation Director insuring the regulatory compliance and bid process. Responsible for representing and promoting public transportation and the mission of the program under the directions of the Transportation Director.
Conducts training, attends meetings, represents the Transportation Program and the agency at public and private functions as needed and when assigned and approved by the Transportation Director. Will be responsible for making presentations of the Transportation Program with the approval of the Transportation Director.
Must be at least 21 years old. Must have a bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field from an accredited institution of high learning and a minimum of two years of administrative experience in social service programs or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Pre-employment drug testing and criminal background check is mandatory.
