Loretta Lou Nelson was born on December 4, 1939, in McKinney, Texas to Charlie and Opal (Denison) Doshier. Loretta passed away on June 28, 2022, in Pampa, Texas at the age of 82. Loretta graduated high school and attended college. She married Roy Cleveland Nelson on January 16, 1959, in Electra, Texas. They were united in marriage for 62 years until Roy’s passing on March 27, 2021. She enjoyed crocheting, reading books, and her greatest joy in her life was her family and friends. 
Loretta is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roy Nelson; son, Kenneth R. Nelson; parents, Charlie and Opal Doshier; sister, Nelda Murray and twin infant great-granddaughters, Sophia and Paige Nelson.
Loretta is survived by her children Sandra Farrington and husband Kevin, Ricky Nelson and wife Alice, Randy Nelson, Janet Smith and wife Wanda, and James Nelson and wife Jo; 20 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren and one on the way; two great-great-grandchildren; brother Bruce Doshier and wife Georgette; sister Jimmie Alice Stokes and numerous extended family and friends.
Graveside services were held on Friday, July 1, 2022, at Gethsemane Cemetery in Caddo, Okla.
Arrangements are under the direction of Brown’s Durant Funeral and Cremation Service.
