Parker throws shutout as Silo defeats Calera in state quarterfinal matchups

OKLAHOMA CITY – Bryan County teams met in the state quarterfinal game of the Class 2A spring baseball tournament with the Rebels moving on past the Bulldogs.

Carter Parker pitched a complete game shutout to led No. 1 Silo to a 5-0 victory over No. 13 Calera on Thursday.

Parker struck out 14 batters while giving up only three hits on the day in 7.0 innings to pick up the win.

Kyler Proctor led the way for the Rebels at the plate, going 2-for-4 with 2 RBI. Easton Ford had a pair of hits, as well, and was walked once.

Conner Cordell, Delton Roberts and Josh Trout each recorded an RBI for Silo.

The Rebels scored twice in the each of the first two innings and added a run in the bottom of the fifth as they kept the Bulldogs scoreless on the day.

Nakni Anna went 6.0 innings for the Bulldogs and went 2-for-3 from the plate.

Silo advances to take on the winner of Cashion and Amber-Pocasset in the Class 2A semifinal on Friday at 11 a.m.
