Joyce Evelyn (Russell) Parsons passed away on Oct. 24, 2021, in Durant, Okla. at the age of 87. Joyce was born on July 12, 1934, in Maypearl, Texas to William Walter and Ima Pearl (Baze) Russell. 
Joyce is survived by her husband, Joe Parsons of the home; children, Kelly Edgett, Matt Edgett and Ann Edgett; sisters, Jeanie Pearl Everett and husband Jerry and Patsy Lou Pierce; brother, Gene Earl Russell and wife Sandra; sisters-in-law, Judy Russell and Connie Lee Russell and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family and friends.
Joyce is preceded in death by her parents and 13 siblings.
A celebration of Joyce’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021, at The Lighthouse of Colbert Church. Pastor Joe Beshirs will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Brown’s Durant Funeral and Cremation Service.
