MEAD – The southeast corner of Leavenworth Trail and U.S. Highway 70 in Bryan County has seen an evolution during the past year.
With Wade’s Pit Stop BBQ making its home there, many local customers have found a place to stop for good food. And the Wades have done their part to make the experience even better.
In recent weeks, David Wade has been making quite a few upgrades.
“We’ve put up an awning over the place where you order, that way you’ll be out of the sun and out of the rain and the elements,’ Wade said. “And then, we’ve got some covered seating out here where the picnic tables are.”
The blast of summer heat may be over for the year, but the protection from the elements works well for any time of year.
Wade said the menu is till the same, but they have additionally been doing weekly and daily specials. Those are posted on the Facebook page, and include specials like brisket tacos, wings and pulled pork sandwiches to family-sized specials.
The facebook page can be found HERE, while Wade’s is located physically at 10226 Leavenworth Trail in Mead.
