Jo Ann (Wilson) Marley “Nanny” passed away on Oct. 23, 2021, in Oklahoma City, Okla. at the age of 73. Jo Ann was born on April 27, 1948, in Lane, Okla. to Holly B. and Dollie (Stiles) Wilson.
“Nanny” attended Lane grade school and Atoka High School. She owned and operated a restaurant and worked in the nursing home but most of all she was a dedicated homemaker to her family. She was of the Pentecostal faith, and she loved to spend time with her family especially her grandchildren.
“Nanny” is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Dale Wilson and Kenneth Booker and daughter-in-law, Michelle McClour.
“Nanny” is survived by her children: Ricky Donaghey and wife Kathleen, Albert Gill and friend Milly Smith and Dollie (Potts) Wells and husband Mark; grandchildren: Nicole (Billy), Shonda (Manuel), Joe, Cody, Ashley (Ryan), Pamela (Cody), Michaela, Stormy (Chad) and Chelsea; great grandchildren: Hayley (Julio), Gavin, Krya, Kianna, Joslin, Ethan, Cooper, Kaylee, Elaina, Lucas, Jace, Randall, Nova, and Phoenix; great-great-grandchildren: Myla and Julio Jr.; siblings Dorothy Walker, Louise Sullivan, Marie Going, Bernice Bolie, Janice Slocum, Larry Booker, Cecil Wilson and Curtis Wilson; special cousin and best friend, Norma Sheffield McDougal and husband Dood and numerous extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2021, at Brown’s Funeral Service in Durant. Rev. Roger Wilson will officiate. Interment will follow in Bera Cemetery with Cody Donaghey, Julio Cortes, Brian McClour, Michael Simas, Donte Cheadle, Shon Wallace, Justin McMichael and Kevin Wilson serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m.
