OKLAHOMA CITY – The Silo Lady Rebels will move to Saturday’s championship game in the Class 2A fast-pitch state tournament. But some Silo fans may have been holding their breath as Amber-Pocasset made a strong push in the seventh inning.

Silo hung on to win, 8-6, over Amber-Pocasset in Friday’s semifinal at Hall of Fame Stadium.
The Lady Rebels (33-7) never trailed and had built an 8-2 lead by the sixth inning. But Am-Po didn’t go quietly into the afternoon, scoring four in the top half of the seventh, leaving it all on the diamond.
Christina Clark earned the win, going the full 7.0 innings in the circle. She gave up nine hits, including four singles in the seventh, but had enough to hold off the Lady Panthers. Clark struck out seven and walk two.
Shay Linn Midgley, Lexi McDonald and Charley Hampton each went 3-for-4 at the plate.
Hampton had three RBI on the day. Her double in the first, one of two RBI doubles for Hampton, brought in Midgley and opened the scoring for the Lady Rebels. Midgley crossed the plate three times.
Silo advances to play for the Class 2A state championship on Saturday. The Lady Rebels will face the winner of Latta and Morrison at 6:30 p.m. at OG&E Energy Field at USA Hall of Fame Stadium.
