Frank Howe, a veteran of the United States Army, and resident of Durant, Okla., passed away on August 10, 2021, at the age of 82. He was born in Moncla, La., to Jim Howe and Alma (Bates) Howe on April 15, 1939. Frank married his beloved Gracie (Capehart) in Kingston, Okla. on February 29, 2021.
Frank served his country proudly in the United States Army. He was a hard worker and spent many years in the oil fields. Frank enjoyed his job in the carnivals watching over kids as the rode the ride with the pink elephants. He loved putting his line in the water on warm sunny days.
Mr. Howe is survived by his wife, Gracie of the home; son, Paul Howe and wife Patricia of Durant, Okla.; daughter, Carol Dill and husband Kevin of Madill, Okla.; siblings, Helen Stuff of Denison, Texas and Susie Strong of Sulphur Springs, Texas; and by numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Mr. Howe was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Alma Howe, Freddie Eugene Howe; siblings: John, George, and Carl Howe, Oda Mae Cobb, and Lou Endom.
A graveside service was held at the Oakwood Cemetery in Denison, Texas, with Calvin Howe, Steven Howe, Kevin Howe, Devin Howe, and Johnny Howe as pallbearers. His honorary pallbearers were Ashton Miller and Brandon Morgan.
