DURANT – Durant Firefighters are currently conducting fire hydrant testing for 2021.
This is done annually to assure all the hydrants are working properly.
Citizens may notice some discoloration of their water during this time. It should clear up fairly quickly after we are through for the day.
So far, about 25% (186) of Durant’s 848 total hydrants have been tested. Tests are expected to wrap up by the end of the month.
