Gerald Lee Hannan, 75, of Colbert, Okla., passed away at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas. Gerald fought hard to survive COVID, but after 60 days, the Lord called him to his eternal resting place. Gerald was born on September 21, 1945 in Denison, Texas to Lee Hannan and Violet Scott Hannan.
He married Sue Kreger on October 4, 1968 In Denison. He was a Christian and member of the First Baptist Church in Colbert, Okla. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.
Gerald worked for 35 years at Johnson & Johnson and after retirement he continued to be employed by Big Lots for another 13 years. Since childhood, he always enjoyed a job whether he was throwing papers or helping someone. He was fondly known as “rawhide” by the kids he grew up with. He was a lifetime resident of Colbert, Okla..
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Sue Hannan of Colbert, Okla.; his two sons, Craig Hannan and Missy of Stillwater, Okla., Jason Hannan and Karen of Colbert, Okla.; his step-sister, Wynell Gentry Perkins; his grandchildren, Collin Lee Hannan, Reese Lee Hannan, Caylin Nicole Hannan and other extended relatives and many friends.
A private service was held on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021, at Garden of Memory Cemetery in Colbert with Pastor Steven Alexander officiating.
