Arlene Smith of Tishomingo, Okla. passed away Jan. 12, 2021 at the age of 52. Arlene was born Jan. 1, 1969 in Dallas, Texas to Vincent & Evelyn Jo (Lee) Guiterrez. On April 11, 1995, Arlene and Billy Smith were united in marriage.
Arlene had many loves in life including country music, dancing, cookouts and living the good life at the lake. But most of all she loved being with her family, children and grandkids, and she especially loved singing and praising the Lord.
Arlene is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Ronnie Gilchriest and Paul Guiterrez, and nephew Curtis Posey.
Left to cherish Arlene’s memory are daughters, Stephanie Phillips and husband James of Ravia, Okla., and Sabrina Lawler of Madill, Okla.; sons, Bryan Smith and Tyler Smith, both of Durant, Okla.; grandsons, Jake Phillips of Ravia and Blayne Lawless of Madill; granddaughters, Julie Phillips and Remie Phillips, both of Ravia, and Chloe McGlocklin of Madill; nieces, Tayna Hayes and husband William of Kingsland, Ga., Tiffany Lawler, Miranda Lawler, and Ericka Guiterrez all of Madill, Jessica Guiterrez of Kingston, Okla., and Amanda Posey of Texas; nephews, Michael Lawler and wife Alena of Vancouver, Wash., and Ricky Posey of Texas; numerous great nieces and nephews, and many other loved ones and friends.
A graveside service to celebrate Arlene’s life was held at Ravia Cemetery, Friday January 15, 2021.
