Alda Mae Lang passed away on Friday, Dec. 4, 2020 in Marietta, Okla. at the age of 87. Alda was born on Nov. 18, 1933 to Alfred and Maggie (Coker) Baumann.
Alda married James Clinton “Caesar” Lang on Jan. 31, 1960. They were blessed with two children and 58 years of marriage until Caesar’s passing on March 1, 2018.
Alda worked as a telephone operator for SW Bell until her retirement. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Marietta. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing solitaire, painting and writing poems. She was an avid OU fan and she loved her apple fritters, but her greatest joy in life was her family especially her grandchildren whom she loved to watch them in school activities and sporting events.
Alda was preceded in death by her husband, James “Caesar” Lang; parents, Alfred and Maggie Baumann; three brothers and three sisters.
Alda is surviced by her son, Jeff Lang and wife Angie; daughter, Sherry Higgins and husband Dee; granddaughter, Kylie Lang; grandsons: Caleb Story and fiancé Jessica Simpson, Cash Lang and fiancé Sarah Sanchez; great-granddaughter, Mehlania Lang and numerous extended family and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2020 at Lakeview Cemetery in Marietta. Pastor Jim May will officiate. Honorary pallbearers will be Caleb Story, Kylie Lang, Cash Lang, Bill Dvorak, Vance McGill, Callie McGill, Mark Baumann, Mike Baumann, Brian Baumann and Randy Baumann.
Arrangements are under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service in Madill, Okla.
