Jayetta Percell passed away Thursday, Dec. 26, 2019 in Durant, Okla. at the age of 73. She was born on September 27, 1946 in Clayton, Okla. 
She retired from being a Travel Agent and Beautician. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids. She also enjoyed cooking, reading and decorating anything she could. Jayetta loved to being with people, she never met a stranger and always wanted to help everyone she met. She will be greatly missed.
Jayetta was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Dorothy VanMeter.
Shel is survived by her daughters: Jeannie Percell of Calera, Okla., and Jannika Lewellen of Calera, Okla.; brother, Martin VanMeter of Durant, Okla.; granddaughters: Savannah Kennedy of Calera, Okla., and Morgen Miller of Calera, Okla.; grandson, Rance Lewellen of Calera, Okla.; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Jayetta Percell were held on Sunday, Dec. 29, 2019, at the Calera First United Methodist Church in Calera, Okla. with Don Hyde officiating.
Internment is at Rosehill Cemetery in Calera, Okla. Tim VanMeter, Keith VanMeter, Rick VanMeter, Jason Lockhart, Ray Lockhart and David Ralston served as pallbearers, along with Billy Ralston, Buford Lockhart, Ross VanMeter and Jeff VanMeter as honorary pallbearers.
