DURANT – A longtime favorite place to stop and eat in Bryan County is ready to go once again. Wright’s Drive In reopened its original location for business on Tuesday.
The restaurant located at 319 S. Ninth Ave. in Durant is back open and going strong. Owner Courtney Epps said the response has been great.
“People have been saying they’re happy to be back and we are very happy to be back,” Epps said.
The restaurant dealt with a kitchen fire in June and closed for a time to clean up and remodel. Those who were missing their meals at Wright’s during this time still had an opportunity to grab one of their great burgers, as Wright’s opened a second location Sept. 1 in Kingston in the facility that once housed the Burger Shoppe.
But the Durant location is open again for the local faithful. The Blast from the Past car club will be meeting again there as well.
Wright’s is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday through Saturday and is closed on Sunday.
