Bill Michael Elliott passed from this life on Saturday, March 19, 2022, in the comfort of his own home at the age of 72. He was born in Pawnee, Oklahoma on August 20, 1949, to William Hobart and Betty Jo (Files) Elliott. He married his wife, Dana Haggard on July 2, 2020, in Durant, Okla.

Bill was a simple man who enjoyed smoking meat and feeding people and being a member of the Elks Lodge allowed him to do just that. He was proud of his Osage roots, which meant that he was a die-hard OSU fan and a lifetime member of the OSU Alumni Association. He was a banker for most of his life and worked as a loan officer at the First United Bank for 30 years before his retirement.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Dana of the home; daughter, Jill Elliott of Dallas, Texas; son, Justin Elliott and wife Julie of Bozeman, Mont.; daughter, Jennifer Morse and husband Jacob of Dallas, Texas. Stepchildren include Jack Haggard of Denton, Texas, Jana Neu and husband Marty of Denton, Texas, and Leslye Shin and husband Song of Durant, Okla. Grandchildren include: Sofia Sones, Miles Elliott, Finley Morse, Ella Morse, Nate Morse, Annalye Shin, Liam Shin, Haley Carson and Keller Neu. Bill is also survived by his brother Charlie Elliott and his wife Emily of Pawnee, Okla.; nephew Alex Elliott and his two nieces Nina Elliott and Leah Elliot. Also surviving Bill are his fur baby, Suzie and special friends Randall and Kaia Bragg of Durant, Okla.

Preceding Bill in death are his parents, William Hobart and Betty Jo, and his brother, Lee Elliott.

Family hour will be held on Friday, March 25, 2022, from 5-7 p.m. at the Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Okla.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at the First Christian Church in Durant, Okla., with Pastor Joe Jorgensen officiating. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Butch Arnett, Greg Massey, John Carey, Larry Nabors, Joe Petalino, William Fahrendorf, Shane Patterson, Nate Morrison, Jody Trammell, Jimmy Fernandez, Maurice Rice, and Bob Butlan.

Services are under the direction of Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Okla.
