William Hasse

William “Billy” Michael Hasse, 69, died in his home at the Choctaw Nation in Talihina, Okla., on October 22, 2022. He was born on May 11, 1953 in Dallas, Texas.

He grew up in Dallas, but got out of the city as quickly as possible. Throughout his life, he lived many places, but always outside of town. Some notable things about Billy, he worked on the pipeline in Alaska, enjoyed fishing and wildlife, and was a member of the Choctaw nation. He enjoyed participating in Powwows and war dances with fellow tribal members. Billy always had hummingbird feeders at his house, and those little beauties visited often. He had most recently been involved in God’s Country Cowboy Church in Talihina.

Billy is preceded in death by his mother, Ida Lee Freeny Price; his father, Warren Hasse and wife, Mary Lou Hasse.

He is survived by his brother, John Freeny and wife Glenda; sisters, Christi Mora and husband David, Kathy Collins and husband Tim, and Kellie Hammonds and husband Chuck, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at the Gethsemane Cemetery in Caddo, Okla., officiated by Pastor TJ Martin from God’s Country Cowboy Church.
