Willard Glen Templeton 86, of Moore, Okla., passed away Thursday, Dec. 17, 2020 at Norman Regional Medical Center in Norman, Okla. He was born November 28, 1934 in Achille, Okla. to Tom and Oma (Land) Templeton.
He graduated from Achille High School in 1952 and went on to join the United States Army in 1957. He served as a flight medic until he was Honorably discharged in August 1963. During his service, he was stationed at several military bases including Ft. Carson, Colorado and Munich, Germany.
Willard married his late Wife Linda Sue Phelps on July 27, 1957 and she passed away in 2004 and Willard completed his life with his second Wife Dorothy Williams.
He was a faithful member of Emanuel Baptist Church in Denison, Texas and enjoyed sight seeing and traveling around the country.
Willard was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Linda; brother, James Templeton and son-in-law, Dennis Stein.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Williams of the home in Moore, Okla.; daughter, Starla Stein of Denison, Texas; son, Phillip Templeton and wife Janet, and daughter, Mitzi Mollenhour and husband David all of Pottsboro, Texas; grandchildren: Sheila Rushing of Denison, Texas, Keith Rushing of Denison, Texas, Carter Smith and wife Chelsea of Cartwright, Okla., Tara Stevens and husband Blake of Denison, Texas, Stephanie Mollenhour, Trey Mollenhour and Laci Mollenhour all of Pottsboro, Texas; great[grandchildren: Alana, Robert, John-Wyatt (JW), Nichole, Hannah, Zoe, Josh, and Vincent; one great-great-grandchild, Daylon.
Dorothy’s extended family includes daughters: Debbie Williams of Grossepointe Park, Mich., Sandy Williams Chestnut of Caddo, Okla., Peggy Pedraza of Durant, Okla., Tonya Williams of Del City, Okla. and Jennifer Williams of Moore, Okla.; grandchildren: Steven Block, Gregory Block, Grant Knutson, Monica DeSpain, Jessica Pedraza and Lynsee Gentry; great-grandchildren: Austin Block, Jackson Block, Evan Polek, Brenden Polek, Chase Gentry and great-great-granddaughter, Emersyn Block.
A graveside service for Willard Glen Templeton will be 2 p.m. on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at the Rosewood Cemetery in Achille, Okla. with Aaron McAdams officiating.
Arrangements are entrusted to Cunningham Funeral Home in Colbert, Okla.
