Wanda Lackey, of Caney, Okla., passed from this life on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at the age of 87. She was born on Thursday, Oct. 12, 1933 in Armstrong, Okla., to Alfred Mack and Lola Inez (Birdville) Tucker.
She married Andy Lackey on July 12, 1949 in Sherman, Texas.
She was a longtime Caney resident. She enjoyed horseback riding, country and gospel music. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred Mack and Lola Inez (Birdville) Tucker; husband, Andy Lackey; daughter, Jackie Marlow; brothers: Carl Tucker and Welton Tucker; sisters: Pauline Alford, Bonnie Chaffin, Joyce Hider and Margaret Holland.
Survivors include sons, Larry Lackey and wife Dang of McAlester, Okla., Kenny Lackey and wife Lesa of Caney, Okla., Terry Lackey and wife Melissa of Caney, Okla.; daughters, Judy Houser of Blanchard, Okla., Gayla Wingo and husband Jimmy of Caney, Okla.; many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other extended family.
A family visitation was held Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Gordon Funeral Home.
