Wanda Kellam

Wanda Lou (Knowles) Kellam passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 in Denison, Texas at the age of 87. Wanda was born on December 29, 1932 in Mead, Okla. to Nelson and Estelle (Smith) Knowles.

Wanda graduated from Mead high school and Southeastern Oklahoma State University with her master’s degree. Wanda married Stanley S. Kellam on August 15, 1953 in Durant and they were truly blessed with 60 years together until Stanley’s passing on March 17, 2014. Wanda worked many years and retired from the Department of Human Services in the child welfare division.

She was a loyal and faithful member of Silo Baptist Church and she deeply loved her Lord and Savior. She enjoyed following her grandchildren in their sporting activities and she loved to cook. Most of all, she loved her church, family and friends.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sons, Jerry Keith and Billy Wayne Kellam.

Wanda is survived by sons, Steve Kellam and wife June and Monty Kellam and wife Theresa; brother, Waylon Knowles and wife Susan; grandchildren, Steven D. Kellam, Bradley C. Kellam and wife Michelle, Patrick N. Kellam and wife Sarah, Nicholas Wayne Kellam and wife Lauren, Zachary Scott Kellam, Elizabeth Watkins, Jerad Kellam and wife Kerri, KC Kellam and wife Heather and Sarah Robertson and husband Ryan; great-grandchildren, Ashlyn, James, Alex, Aiden, Max, Madi, Sydni, Evie, Liah, Ki, Ava, Letti, Ridliegh and Scarlet; great-great-grandson, Beau; nieces, Kristy Burton, Jennifer Knowles and Katie Wallace and numerous extended family and dear friends.

Funeral services were held  Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Silo Baptist Church.

Arrangements under the direction of Brown’s Durant Funeral and Cremation Service.
