Virginia “Myra” Neill Fike Weger, 83, of Colbert, Okla. passed away on Thursday, March 25, with her husband by her side, at Beacon Hill in Denison, Texas.
Myra was born September 14, 1937 in Hugh Springs, Texas, to William Frank and Bennie Austin Fike. She was married on September 10, 1955, to the love of her life, Donald Ray Weger, and was a devoted wife for more than 65 years. She was affectionately known to most people as Mamaw, but also a mama, sister, aunt, and friend. Her greatest blessings in life were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Myra was a devout Christian and life-long member of the First Baptist Church of Colbert. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, sewing, and cooking. She will be remembered for her kind, giving nature and a heart, full of love for others.
Myra is preceded in death by her parents and five siblings.
She is survived by husband, Donald Ray Weger of Colbert, Okla.; children: Loni Kaye and spouse Robert Thompson of Luella, Texas, Allan Ray Weger and spouse Peggy of Caney, Okla.; grandchildren: Jason Weger and spouse Robin of Bokchito, Okla., Misty McMikel and spouse Buddy of Powderly, Texas, Beth Mitchell and spouse Steven of Bokchito, Okla., Melissa Jones and spouse Cody of Roxton, Texas, Leah Burkhalter and spouse Nate of Inola, Okla.; great-grandchildren: Peyton Johnson, Parker Weger, Maddi Johnson, Drew Hawk, Kyla Weger, Andrea Weger, Nevaeh Burkhalter, Blake McMikel, and Kiptyn Jones; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Tuesday, March 30 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Colbert. Brother Steven Alexander and Brother Ronnie Harris will be officiating. Family night will be held Monday, March 29, from 6-8 p.m. at American Funeral Services in Colbert, Okla.
Pallbearers are Jason Weger, Buddy McMikel, Cody Jones, Steven Mitchell, Nate Burkhalter, Peyton Johnson, Parker Weger, Drew Hawk and honorary pallbearers Jason Johnson and Blake McMikel.
