Victor Chidi Okpechi was born on Feb. 8, 1986 in Springfield, Mo. to Francis N.C. and Caroline O. (Smith) Okpechi. Victor passed from this life on May 10, 2021 in Sherman, Texas at the age of 35. 
Victor graduated from Irving, Texas High School and Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant receiving his master’s degree. He married Sandra Mendoza on Nov. 25, 2003 and they moved to Bryan County in August 2006. He worked as an agent in the insurance industry and was a loyal and dedicated member of the Apostolic Jesus Name Church in Boswell, Okla. He loved to read the bible and study scripture and he deeply cherished his time spent with his family and friends.
Victor is survived by his wife, Sandra Okpechi of the home; children, Desiree Okpechi, Arianna Okpechi, Julie Okpechi, Sarah Okpechi, Elias Okpechi and Elisha Okpechi, all of the home; sister, Amara Okpechi; brother, Isaac Okpechi and numerous extended family and friends.
Funeral services to celebrate Victor’s life will be held Friday, May 21, 2021 at Apostolic Jesus Name Church in Boswell, Okla.
Ron Pickard will officiate. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Calera. Pallbearers will be Alex Rivera, Ken Batley, Wale Ajiboye and Isaac Okpechi.
Arrangements are under the direction of Brown’s Durant Funeral and Cremation Service.
