Vicki Palmore

Vicki Ann Palmore passed from her earthly home and into her savior’s arms in heaven on June 26, 2023.  She is no longer in pain and is at peace.  She was saved and baptized in her youth and she loved the Lord.

Vicki was born in Monett, Mo., and grew up in Colbert, Okla., where she lived out her whole life.  She loved living in Colbert close to her parents and other family members.  She had three children, Amy, Kurtis, Ricky and shared a step-daughter, Danielle, with her husband, Joe.

Vicki was a “mom” to her sisters, the three little girls, and her brothers from the time they were born.  She started cooking at a very young age and could whip up a meal out of almost anything in the pantry.  It was always a tasty creation made with lots of love.

She played basketball for Colbert High School in her younger years and twirled baton.  She was a beautiful young woman and could rock a pair of “hot pants” back in the ’70s.

She was a servant at heart and helped feed many members of her family during hard times.  She would give the last dollar she had to anyone that needed it.

She worked hard during her lifetime, often two and three jobs, to provide for her children.  She worked at Texas Instruments, and in the food service business.  She really enjoyed working the elections where she could see and visit with lots of people from the community.

Vicki had a wonderful sense of humor, quick wit and was tough as nails.  She was never on time but would look fabulous when she arrived.

Her family and her puppies loved her immensely and she will be missed so much.

Vicki was preceded in death by her parents, Maxine and Steve Teeples; her mother and father-in-law, Linda and Bobby Palmore; her brothers-in-law, Mike Palmore and Scotty Hazlewood.

She is survived by her loving husband, Joe Palmore; children: Amy (Robert) Butler, Kurtis (Angie) Smith, Ricky Smith and Danielle Followell; grandchildren: Steven Smith (Jessica), Erik Smith (Kori), Jake Smith, Drake Gordon, Matti Gordon (Bradly) and Sarah Gordon; great-grandchildren: Lydia Followell, Quentin Smith, Kamden Smith, Jackson Smith & Weston Smith, siblings, Steve K Teeples, Michael (Debara) Teeples, Linda (Andy) Jacobs, Sharon Hazlewood, Kathy (Benny) Grove and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to honor Vicki’s special friend and companion, Kori Winger.

Pallbearers:  Erik Smith, Colton Stubblefield, Steven Smith, Drake Gordon, Matti Gordon and Sarah Gordon. Honorary Pallbearers:  Lydia Followell and Jake Smith.
