TVSHKA HOMMA – Tribute was paid to veterans and their sacrifices by young Choctaws on May 26 on the historic Choctaw Capitol Grounds at Tvshka Homma.
The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma Youth Advisory Board teamed up with Choctaw Veterans Advocacy to host a Memorial Day Ceremony that included presentations on America’s conflicts from World War I to the War on Terrorism. Wreaths were placed at Choctaw Veterans Wall Monuments by Choctaw Tribal Council members.
The remembrance continued with the Choctaw Honor Guard leading a procession to the Choctaw Cemetery.
