Tristin Joe Nunez, 19 of Durant, Oklahoma passed away on July 16, 2026. Tristin was born on July 10, 2007, in Durant to Joe Bob Nunez and Erica Arnold. He was raised in Bryan County and attended Silo High School entering his senior year. He was just beginning his career and was employed by the Choctaw Nation. He always had a way of making people laugh. He loved his car, tubing, going to the movies, his dog “Lexi”, his fish tanks, fishing, and swimming. He had a big love for his family, his little sister and siblings, and Kinley and her mother Ava.
Tristin is preceded in death by Kay Hubbard, Troy Glover, Diane Glover, Deyonna Arnold, Skeeter Loyd, and Tracey Glover.
Tristin is survived by his father, Joe Bob Nunez and wife Andrea; mother, Erica Arnold; girlfriend, Ava Studderd; siblings: Riley Nunez, Payton Nunez, Charles Patton III, Zoie Donelan, Lance Wenger, and JR Wenger; grandparents: Anthony Irwin, Philip Arnold and wife Jamie, and Rocky Bellows and husband Bobby; aunts and uncles: Aaron Arnold, Katy Powell, Dara Arnold, Aunt Sammy, Zandra Nunez, Micky Bombsburger and husband Glenn, Margie Brown, and Joey Bailey and wife Chanelle; and numerous cousins and extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday July 24, 2026, at Brown’s Durant Funeral Service Chapel. Pastor Monty Wood will officiate. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery with Mikel Rowland, Payton Nunez, Charles Patton III, Joey Bailey, Raymond Huff, Tayvius Williams, James Irwin and Papa Anthony Irwin serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Thursday, July 24 from 6-8 p.m.
