DURANT – Choctaw Casino & Resort – Durant announced its second millionaire of the season early Sunday morning, as part of the 2024 edition of 3 Months. 3 Millionaires. Carl Stone of Trenton, Texas, was declared the winner of the second $1 million grand prize drawing of the summer. He is one of three Rewards Club members who will become instant millionaires, as Choctaw Casinos will give away a total of $5.8 million this summer. 
“I didn’t think I would ever win, but then it happened,” Stone said. “It felt pretty good to have my name called. I’ve never been a millionaire. The money will go to help a lot of people. I feel very fortunate.”
Stone, a general construction manager who is currently building housing additions in the North Texas area, is a longtime Choctaw Rewards Club member who’s been traveling to Durant to play since the Choctaw Bingo Hall opened more than 30 years ago. He also has ties to Choctaw Travel Plazas, where decades ago Stone was a technician who helped deliver and install some of the initial slot machines.
Stone said he plans to use the winnings to help his kids – three sons and a daughter – and three grandchildren, and he highly encourages others to come out for the final drawing in August. It only takes one entry to win.
“Come out and try because I would have never thought I would have won,” Stone said. “Choctaw is the place to come. It’s the only casino I like to play at.”
The remaining million-dollar drawing will be held on Saturday, August 24 at 1 a.m., and the winner must be present to claim the prize. For details and rules, please visit 3 Months. 3 Millionaires.
The first winner of the summer was a 30-year-old woman from Collin County who chose to remain anonymous. She and her husband plan to travel and pay off their recently purchased home with part of her winnings. They enjoy visiting Choctaw Casino & Resort – Durant on a monthly basis and came last month for a night out.
Last summer, players from across the country participated in the 3 Months. 3 Millionaires. giveaway, with all three winners hailing from North Texas.
