Travis Mauldin

Travis Dwayne Mauldin departed this life on Saturday, November 5, 2022 from his home at the age of 56. Travis was born Wednesday, January 12, 1966 in Greenville, Texas to Travis Mauldin and Barbara Horton Mauldin.

Travis was raised in Commerce, Texas, and has lived in Caddo the past 15 years. He was employed as a Lab Courier for Quest Diagnostics and Logistics. Travis married his loving wife, Liz, on July 31, 2021 in Hugo. He enjoyed hunting, rodeoing, fishing, archery and cooking. Travis was also a bullfighter and loved the atmosphere of being in the arena. He was very involved in all aspects of the rodeo associations which was a big part of his life. Travis is of the Christian faith.

Travis was preceded in death by his parents; and a granddaughter, Joleigh Mauldin.

He is survived by his loving wife, Liz, of Caddo; children: Heath Grant and his wife Lauren of Sherman, Texas, Magan Mauldin of Cooper, Texas, Eli Mauldin and his wife Amanda of Durant, Okla., Madison Mauldin of Caddo, Okla., and Austin Hawthorne of Caddo, Okla.; his brothers, Mark Mauldin and his wife, Tammy of Ladonia, Texas, and Bobby Mauldin and his wife, Lisa Smith of Sulphur Springs, Texas; a sister, Cynthia “Sissie” Clark and husband, Dustin of Campbell, Texas; his beautiful grandchildren, Phoenix Grant, Prezley Grant, Willow Grant, Griffin Grant, Cameron Cravey, Claire Cravey, Monroe Dave, Exlee Simms, Jasper Mauldin, Levi Mauldin, Kasen Adams and Raelynn Mitchell; and other extended family members and good friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, Nov. 10, from 6-8 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Home in Durant.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11, 2022, at Brown’s Funeral Home chapel in Durant with Pastor Bill Baker officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery located southeast of Caddo.

Cole Lambert, Jacky Gibbs, Dale Lyons, David Jones, Tut Davis, and Auston Springer will serve as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be Eli Mauldin, Mark Mauldin, Bobby Mauldin, Heath Grant, Phillip Hightower, and Austin Hawthorne.
