Tornado kills Madill man while he was driving

MARSHALL COUNTY – The deadly tornadoes that came through the Texoma area were responsible for two deaths in Madill on Wednesday. One of those killed was struck while driving.

Chad Weyant, 46, of Madill, was driving 2012 Smart Car For Two and was at U.S. Highway 377 and Oklahoma Highway 99 when the vehicle was struck by a tornado, according to a report by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

He was ejected from the vehicle an unknown distance and found in the median. The vehicle was located in a field. Weyant was pronounced deceased at the scene by the M.E. Investigator.

The OHP was assisted in the investigation by the Madill Police Department and the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office.
